The Story

The shiso for this salt is grown in small plots in the hills east of Kyoto, where cool summers and mineral-rich soil produce particularly fragrant leaves. The farmer sends us the first harvest each July.

About This Product

Red shiso leaves grown in Kyoto are sun-dried and blended with coarse Goto island sea salt to make this bright, lightly savoury finishing salt. The shiso gives a clean, almost floral herbaceous note and a faint pink-red colour.
